At Facethetics, we pride ourselves on making you feel as well informed as possible prior to training and provide a relaxed and welcoming environment to help ensure a positive and successful learning experience. On completion of training, we keep in touch offering you our support. All of our Educators are hand-picked for their expertise, knowledge and experience in their field of practice.
What is Semi-Permanent Makeup?
Permanent or Semi-Permanent Makeup is a modern method of cosmetic tattooing. A specialist machine is used to apply pigment, in a similar manner to traditional tattooing. However, the pigment is applied very precisely, to the eyebrow area, in order to enhance the client's natural brow or to create the appearance of brow hairs where the client doesn't have any.
Semi-permanent eyebrow makeup has become an extremely popular and highly requested treatment over the years. It is a fantastic option for anyone who has very thin or sparse brows, or even those who have suffered from hair loss, such as alopecia. It is also popular amongst people who live a very busy lifestyle or simply do not want to spend time every morning applying brow makeup.
What does the Semi-Permanent Makeup course entail?
We will train you to become an Eyebrow Artist!
The course takes place across a total of three days. Please note, Day 1 and Day 2 are consecutive days. Day 3 will be at a later date and is a review of case studies.
Day 1 will begin with a discussion of the material covered in the e-learning. This includes;
- History of Cosmetic Tattooing
- Hygiene & Sanitation
- Health & Safety
- Anaesthetic & Pain Management
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Systems of the body
- Skin types
- Skin conditions
- The Blood
- The Skin
- Colour Theory
- Supplies, Forms & Consultation
- Patch & Colour Testing
- Different shapes and styles
- Shading and definition
- Managing client expectations
After lunch, delegates will spend the afternoon practising different eyebrow shapes and techniques using specialist practice mats.
On Day 2, we will re-cap what was covered on the previous day, before moving on to a full treatment demonstration performed by our Educator. In the afternoon, delegates will consult with their models before carrying out a semi-permanent makeup treatment with supervision and guidance from the Educator.
After successful completion of the first two days of training, delegates must complete a number of case studies in their own time. They will then return to us a minimum of four weeks later, for their case studies to be reviewed by the Educator. Once all case studies have been reviewed and signed off, delegates are qualified to practice as a semi-permanent eyebrow artist.Enquire Now Book Now
